Microblading

Microblading is eyebrow tattoo that involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes into the epidermis layer of the eyebrow giving you a natural fuller brow. The treatment is typically a 2 step application process:

  • The initial appointment includes consultation and initial application

  • The second appointment, which is the perfection session is done a minimum of 6 weeks later, to refine the strokes and fine-tune color if needed. The second appointment ensures that pigment is healing properly and responding well to ensure the life of your eyebrows. The 6 week touch up is not included.

Combination Brows

$475

This brow method involves the application of hair stokes in the beginning of the brow and thousands of tiny little dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building color and a defined shape. Pigment usually lasts longer with this method because it’s can be penetrated deeper in the skin. The healed results will be a soft ‘power’ makeup look to the brows but solid, unlike microblading. The price quoted is for work done by me, work done by a previous brow artist is subject to a higher charge.

Ombré/Powder Brows

$450

The Ombré/Powder brow involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment inserted into the skin without a harsh front or outline and gives a light to dark effect with a defined brow shape. Pigment will lasts longer (up to 3 years) with this method because pigment can be penetrated deeper into the skin. Healed results will be a soft ‘power’ makeup look to the brows but solid, unlike microblading. The price quoted is for work done by me, work done by a previous brow artist is subject to a higher charge.

Because this method has been around for a long time, it doesn’t have the best reputation. Many people are fearful of this method looking unnatural, because it does create a more defined, solid look than microblading alone. But today’s ombre/powder brows are more natural looking than their 1985 predecessors. In fact, ombre/powder brows can be made to look very natural, by not saturating the desired brow shape 100% with pigment and allowing for a defined yet soft/non solid look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Microblading is a specialized hand-controlled method that implants pigment into the superficial layers of the skin in order to resemble eyebrow hair. It’s ideal for someone who has experienced some hair loss and wants to achieve very natural looking eyebrows.

Those with oily skin may want to consider a Combination or Ombre brow to ensure the longevity.

Before your appointment please refrain from tinting your brows, waxing, threading, tweezing, or grooming the brow in any way. This allows us to see where the natural hair grows to ensure we are creating a brow shape truly based on your bone structure and hair growth pattern.

The day of your appointment don’t drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks. Don’t take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before your appointment. Don’t take omega3 (fish oil) 1 week before your appointment. Don’t tan or have intense sun exposure 3 days before treatment.

It’s best to avoid the following:

  • Hot and sweaty exercise for approximately 3-4 days.
  • Direct sun exposure or tanning beds for 4 weeks.
  • Long hot showers or spas for the first 10 days.
  • Skin and makeup products including sunscreen for 30 days.
  • Never rub, pick or scratch the treated area, never!!

Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the brow. Ombre/Powder brows help clients achieve more of a soft makeup filled in brow look and work great for clients with oily skin, mature skin, that wear a face full of makeup regularly such as full coverage foundation, fill in their brows with makeup daily, or that want a more over all very defined and specific looking brow.

Microblading is less invasive and is designed to generally last 1-2 years, depending upon your age, skin type, skin health, how well you follow your aftercare instructions, your usual skincare routine and environmental factors, particularly sun exposure. As a result, it will be necessary to include “maintenance” microblading procedures as part of your yearly routine.

If you don’t get the 6 week touch up, your brows will stay the way they turned out once the skin has healed – which could be slightly uneven and patchy which could result in them fading within 6-12 months.
