Microblading is eyebrow tattoo that involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes into the epidermis layer of the eyebrow giving you a natural fuller brow. The treatment is typically a 2 step application process:
The initial appointment includes consultation and initial application
The second appointment, which is the perfection session is done a minimum of 6 weeks later, to refine the strokes and fine-tune color if needed. The second appointment ensures that pigment is healing properly and responding well to ensure the life of your eyebrows. The 6 week touch up is not included.
This brow method involves the application of hair stokes in the beginning of the brow and thousands of tiny little dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building color and a defined shape. Pigment usually lasts longer with this method because it’s can be penetrated deeper in the skin. The healed results will be a soft ‘power’ makeup look to the brows but solid, unlike microblading. The Ombré/Powder brow involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment inserted into the skin without a harsh front or outline and gives a light to dark effect with a defined brow shape. Pigment will lasts longer (up to 3 years) with this method because pigment can be penetrated deeper into the skin. Healed results will be a soft ‘power’ makeup look to the brows but solid, unlike microblading. Because this method has been around for a long time, it doesn’t have the best reputation. Many people are fearful of this method looking unnatural, because it does create a more defined, solid look than microblading alone. But today’s ombre/powder brows are more natural looking than their 1985 predecessors. In fact, ombre/powder brows can be made to look very natural, by not saturating the desired brow shape 100% with pigment and allowing for a defined yet soft/non solid look.
