Frequently Asked Questions
Apprenticeship Program
Other training programs might be a quick 1-2 day training with very support and not enough littletime to get comfortable with models. We offer a true 6 month apprenticeship program with over 300 hours of training and the ability to do addional models side by side with Samantha. We have 4 apprenticeship sessions each year which start in January and will run through July, the second session will start in April and we’ll go through September, the third session will start in July and will end in December, and the final session will begin in October and will end March of the following year.
This will allow Samantha to be focused solely on each new artist at the beginning of their apprenticeship when they require the most hands-on assistance and guidance! You can also check her for additional dates: https://www.glittermetraining.com
You will start with theory and will be expected to complete the theory within the first 60 days so you can begin taking models as soon as possible!
Once it’s time for models, Samantha will be there to help you with everything throughout – instruct you how best to hold your device, refine your technique, and learn the fundamentals of brows.
When you’re able to start taking models, we will assist you in finding your first few models. With the first few appointments, Roslyn will do the majority of the work with you, working side-by-side to ensure that you feel completely comfortable and at ease. You will be there throughout the client consultation, mapping, procedure, and discussion of aftercare.
Once you feel secure and confident, you will be in charge of your appointment entirely but you will never have a client without Samantha present. She will always be available should you need her, but this is the time when you should start to take ownership and run the whole experience from start to finish with your client!
All supplies you need throughout your apprenticeship will be provided to you by us. This will include everything you need for tray setup and all disposable items. You will need to provide your pigments, machine and cartridges, and aftercare for your models.
To learn one technique the cost of the program starts at $2,2500 if you would want to learn all techniques the cost of the program will increase. We also have options that allow you to combine 2 techniques. We encourage you to take a look here. Keep in mind if you’re looking for training without the option of the apprenticeship program we do offer online training starting which includes two online Zoom meetings with Samantha and 6 months of long distance apprenticeship.
A deposit is required to reserve your seat, seeing as though we can only accept a limited number of students in the apprenticeship program per starting session.
After you’ve completed the six month apprenticeship and 20 models, you will receive your certificate of completion and we’ll move on to the next phase where Samantha will provide a step by step guide on establishing your business. This guide includes topics like registering your business name with the Secretary of State, obtaining your EIN number for your business, a supply list of where to purchase additional supplies, a branding guide including where to have logos created and all marketing material for your business like a website, a guide on how to determine your perfect client, social media content ideas, and so much more.
Ohio law DOES NOT require any type of PMU apprenticeship involving hours, a cosmetology license, or a number of models to be completed before you are able to legally provide PMU services however, we encourage you to complete the program so you can be a great confidant artist. Samantha helps you establish your business, and you will not get the valuable experience of Samantha being side by side with you unless you completed the program.
If interested in a payment plan we currently have options with Klarna and Affirm as well as an house payment plans throughout the duration of your program. If you’re interested in utilizing one of these options you can contact us directly and we can explain how it works in further detail. Regardless of the payment plan you select, a deposit is still required to hold your seat for training and the deposit is always applied towards the balance owed. If utilizing an in house payment plan your deposit will be higher.
